Faun, hymn to Pan

The quote reminds me of a Celtic myth, the pipe of the Dagda, plays three strains; joy, sorrow, dream.

'Shadow is what we are faced with when the Sun is behind' is the concept of Sarfa, 'the act of turning away from God' which involves us with the places that light is blocked from by our existence before the light of the Sun God, for whatever we allow that to be. It is a similar principle to Kamma. It goes from here into Jungian archetypes manifest as Medicine Journeys as we deal with the issues invoked.

In my roots shamanic tradition, this is the foundation of spellcraft.



And then the same day as I wrote this, and the same day as I wrote to my friend about the Egyptian hieroglyph for 'seed/beginning', it being three dots, written in gold on black on the Kaba at Mecca, along with the glyph for 'world' (the ground beneath is and the realm of experience; the relationship between the two);

I had began writing about the Faun lyrics, because I have been invited to write for an internet blog group, which I believe will help me to focus and formulate my ideas.

So it seems to me logical and progressive that the first of my blogs for this project should be A is for Alphabet. The letter A being the symbol for both Arrow and for the head and horns of an Auroch (a giant bull from the paleolithic and neolithic stone-age, now extinct), so I have been instructed by etymologists. 

After which I intend to study Attack from electronic musical machines, it being the first of four 'elements' called;

Attack Decay Sustain Release

ASDR which are used to shape what waveforms sound like. All of reality is made of frequencies and waveform so a musical understanding of the modulation of these waveforms seems to me to be a very magickal perception indeed.
